How Formenzo makes money

Comparison sites usually hide how they earn. We think that is exactly backwards. If you cannot see our incentive, you cannot trust our ranking. So here it is, in full.

How service pricing works

Formenzo’s setup-service fee is disclosed in the written scope for the work you choose. The current standard setup service is AED 1,500 for document preparation, application filing, authority follow-up and licence delivery. Published scenarios are comparison tools, not individual authority invoices: final authority line items, eligibility and availability are confirmed in writing after review and before payment.

Zero commission from any zone

We take no commission, referral payment, volume bonus or marketing incentive from any free zone in the comparison. Our disclosed service scope does not change because an authority is more expensive. That removes a common conflict of interest: recommendations should optimise for your activity, visa needs and location fit, not a commission.

Why we give the data away

Every price on Formenzo is verified against the zone authorities' own price lists and workbooks, dated, and published in our downloadable public dataset under a CC BY 4.0 licence. Anyone — including our competitors — can take it, republish it and build on it, free of charge. We do this for a simple commercial reason: verified pricing only has value if it can be checked. Data that anyone can audit is data you can rely on, and being the source of record is worth more to us than keeping a spreadsheet secret.

What this means when you compare

Because our income does not move with your choice, the comparison can be blunt. We can show published licence and visa scenarios side by side, including Dubai and northern-emirates options, without optimising for an authority commission. Every reviewed scenario receives a written authority itemisation, validity date and requirements before payment.

One flat fee. Zero commission. Open data anyone can audit. That is the whole model.
