Remote UAE company formation - Open your UAE company from anywhere — without boarding a plane.

Formenzo files directly with 10 channel-partner free zones across every UAE emirate. Trade licence issued in 5 business days, all signing handled via DocuSign + UAE PASS, and passports couriered — not carried. The only step that ever requires your physical presence is a 48-hour visa biometrics visit, and that only happens if you want UAE residency. A licence and a corporate bank account can both be completed from your home country.

Question 1 - Can I set up a UAE company without visiting Dubai?

Yes. For 8 of the 10 channel-partner zones Formenzo files in, the entire licence stage is 100% remote — you never board a plane to receive a trade licence.

UAE government digitisation accelerated sharply in 2023–2025. Every major free zone authority now accepts DocuSign or UAE PASS e-signatures on the MOA, lease, and establishment card. Eight of the ten zones we partner with — IFZA, Meydan, SRTIP, Innovation City, SHAMS, DIFC, ANCFZ, and RAKEZ — issue the licence without any physical presence. DMCC and JAFZA issue the licence remotely but require one in-person step during banking or warehouse onboarding.

Passport copies are couriered in advance — notarised and apostilled in your home country — or delivered in person when you attend the biometrics appointment for your residency visa. If you never need a UAE residence visa (common for founders based in Singapore, UK, or Europe who want the licence for international banking or invoicing only), you never have to visit the UAE at all.

Question 2 - Which UAE free zones allow 100% remote setup?

All ten of Formenzo's channel-partner zones support remote licence filing in 2026. Eight also support remote banking. The matrix below shows exactly which zone asks for a branch visit and which does not.

Matrix reflects Formenzo's 2026 filings. "Visa biometrics only" is a single 48-hour UAE visit and is skipped entirely if you don't want a residence visa.

Question 3 - How long does remote UAE company formation take in 2026?

14 to 21 days, end to end. The licence stage is 5 to 7 days. Residency visas add another 7 to 14 days depending on biometric booking slots. A corporate bank account runs in parallel and typically opens 14 to 21 days after the licence is issued.

Day 0–3

Passport verification + licence application

Upload notarised passport + 6-month bank statement to the Formenzo portal. We pre-check KYC against the chosen zone authority. MOA and lease signed via DocuSign or UAE PASS. No courier yet.

Day 3–7

Trade licence issued

Initial approval from the free zone authority (24 hours for SHAMS, ANCFZ, RAKEZ; 48–72 hours for IFZA, Meydan, DIFC). Licence PDF delivered to your email. Establishment card issued the same week.

Day 7–10

Residence visa application (optional)

Only needed if you want UAE residency. Entry permit issued online. You book a 48-hour UAE trip for medical fitness + Emirates ID biometrics — this is the only step that requires physical presence.

Day 10–14

Emirates ID + visa stamp

Biometrics captured at an ICA typing centre during your 48-hour visit. Visa stamped in passport within 4 days. Emirates ID card couriered to your home country if you leave before it arrives.

Day 14–21

Corporate bank account opened

DIFC and Meydan clients open a WIO IBAN fully remotely. Other zones: Mashreq NeoBiz, RAKBANK, or Emirates NBD. A single branch visit may be required — we schedule it for the same 48-hour window as your biometrics.

Question 4 - What documents do I need to form a UAE company remotely?

Six documents get you through the licence stage. All upload digitally through the Formenzo portal — nothing is couriered until post-licence visa processing, if at all.

  • Passport copy (notarised). Coloured scan of the photo page. Must be notarised and apostilled in your home country. Validity of 6 months or more from issuance date.
  • 6-month bank statement. Most recent six months, personal or business, showing your name and address. Required by every zone's KYC team; also used downstream by the UAE bank.
  • Passport-size photos. Two white-background photos. Digital submission accepted for licence stage; original prints only needed when you arrive for biometrics.
  • Proposed trade name. Three name options ranked. We pre-check availability against the zone register before submission — saves a 24-hour round-trip if your first pick is taken.
  • Business activity list. One to seven activities from the zone's activity register (IFZA publishes 812; RAKEZ over 4,000). We map your business description into the correct activity codes.
  • Source-of-funds letter. Only if paid-up capital exceeds USD 100,000. A one-page letter from your bank or accountant stating the legal origin of funds — we provide the template.

Question 5 - What does it cost to form a UAE company remotely in 2026?

From AED 4,888 for a zero-visa trade licence. Because Formenzo holds channel-partner agreements with every zone listed, we publish the same AED number the zone itself publishes — with no separate service fee layered on top.

ZoneStarting (AED)What's included
ANCFZAED 4,888Zero-Visa Package — licence + 10 activities + MOA + bank letter + all certificates
DIFCAED 5,500DIFC Innovation Licence, co-working desk, Ignyte platform, discounted visas, DFSA-light regime
SHAMSAED 5,750Media licence, LLC without 'FZ' suffix, up to 5 media activities, flexi-desk, lease agreement — incl. VAT
RAKEZAED 6,000Zero-Visa / Instant Licence — up to 6 activities, Portal 360 digital issuance, RAKEZ Designated Zone status
IFZAAED 12,200Professional licence, registration, Flexidesk, Dubai Silicon Oasis address, up to 3 activities

Every price above is the real 2026 channel-partner rate — not a loss-leader. Our margin is paid by the free zone authority as a partner commission, which is why you see no separate Formenzo service-fee line. Add AED 6,000 per residency visa (medical + Emirates ID + stamping bundled). Full multi-year discount schedule available on each zone's detail page.

Question 6 - Can I open a UAE bank account from abroad?

Partial yes. WIO Bank is fully digital end to end for DIFC and Meydan licence holders. Mashreq NeoBiz and RAKBANK typically need a single 30-minute branch visit, which we schedule alongside your visa biometrics so you only fly in once.

Russian, Iranian, and Pakistani passports face enhanced due diligence under UAE Central Bank AML rules (effective 2022). Formenzo prepares the supplementary pack — source-of-funds affidavit, political exposure declaration, 12-month statements — and coordinates directly with bank compliance officers so approval lands on the first attempt.

Question 7 - Why do founders pick Formenzo for remote UAE setup?

Channel-partner pricing, no markup, bilingual support. Formenzo is operated by YABS Public Relations Management LLC — UAE Trade Licence 788672 — with ten years of direct filing experience across IFZA, Meydan, DMCC, RAKEZ, DIFC, JAFZA, SHAMS, ANCFZ, SRTIP, and Innovation City.

  • Channel-partner wholesale pricing. We publish the same AED number the free zone publishes. Our margin is paid by the zone as partner commission — not layered on top of your quote.
  • WhatsApp-first, 12 hrs/day. Every stage update lands in chat. Native-language support in English, Arabic, Hindi, Urdu, and Russian covers 87% of our 2026 client base without an interpreter.
  • 10 zones compared in 60 seconds. Our recommender maps your nationality, activity, visa quota, and budget against every zone we partner with — in under a minute, with a PDF report you can forward to your accountant.
  • UAE PDPL-compliant data handling. Files uploaded to Formenzo live on UAE-hosted infrastructure (AWS Middle East, Bahrain) with a Data Processing Addendum available on request. Personal data never leaves the UAE region.
